Two families, one week at sea, summer 2027.

A week between June 15 and July 20, on a yacht with seven cabins or more. Here are two ways to do it: the Turkish coast with the Greek islands next door, or Croatia's Dalmatian coast.

The Brief

One week between June 15 and July 20, 2027
Jeffrey, it's so good to have you coming back. You asked for seven, ideally eight cabins for two families, either on the route you sailed in 2019 or on the Dalmatian coast. Every yacht on this page is free in or close to your window, and each card shows the full cost of the week.

Your question

Getting there, and what about Greece?

The Turkish yachts can cross into the Greek Dodecanese, which sit just off the Turkish coast. The Croatian yachts stay in Croatia.

Turkey
Getting thereFly into Bodrum (BJV), or Dalaman (DLM) for boats starting in Göcek. Both are an easy connection through Istanbul.
GreeceYes. A week can take in the North Dodecanese (Leros, Lipsi, Patmos, Kalymnos, Kos) or Symi to the south. Greek entry formalities are done on the first Greek stop.
Croatia
Getting thereFly into Split (SPU), where all five yachts are based. Dubrovnik (DBV) works too if your week ends there.
GreeceNo. Croatian yachts cruise the Dalmatian coast and islands only.

Turkey and the Dodecanese

What it feels like

Slow days in quiet bays

Turkey is the slower one. Most nights you stay at anchor in a quiet bay with pine trees down to the water, and the sea is calm with plenty of sheltered coves for swimming off the back of the boat.

Meals are long and mostly on board, cooked by the crew. The Greek islands are so close that we can cruise the Turkish coast and weave in the island of Symi for a day, or spend the whole week discovering the North Dodecanese.

Two sample weeks

The North Dodecanese, or the Datça peninsula and Symi

  1. Bodrum
    Day 1
    Bodrum
Board in Bodrum and make the short crossing to Pserimos, a small Greek island next to Kalymnos, for the first night.
  2. Leros
    Day 2
    Leros
Greek entry formalities are done here. Leros has a harbour town shaped by the Art Deco buildings the Italians put up in the early 20th century, and a good taverna scene on the waterfront.
  3. Lipsi
    Day 3
    Lipsi
A small, quiet island. Most boats anchor in Lera Bay, or stay in the harbour if you'd rather walk ashore for dinner.
  4. Patmos
    Day 4
    Patmos
A UNESCO World Heritage island, crowned by the Monastery of St John, with the whitewashed old town of Chora running down toward the harbour at Skala.
  5. Arki and Marathi
    Day 5
    Arki and Marathi
Arki is one of the smallest inhabited islands in the group. Next door, Marathi has two family-run tavernas on the beach.
  6. Kalymnos
    Day 6
    Kalymnos
A rugged limestone island known for its sea cliffs and a long history of sponge diving, with a real working town at its heart.
  7. Kos, then back to Bodrum
    Day 7
    Kos, then back to Bodrum
The last Greek stop, then the short crossing back to Bodrum.

De Love's week runs one way from Göcek to Bodrum, so her route follows the coast west and can take in Symi on the way. The captain plans the final route with you on board, based on the weather.

What to know

  • Turkish yachts charge 20% VAT on top of the charter fee. All of it is in the totals.
  • On King of the Sea and De Love, the APA covers food, drinks, fuel and marina fees. Queen of Salmakis includes fuel in Turkish waters, and food is a set package of €850 per person for the week, worked out here for 16 guests.
  • Cruising in Greek waters adds Greek fees, and they are in the totals. On King of the Sea they are €12,000 to €15,000 for the North Dodecanese, or about €6,000 with Symi only. De Love's route takes in Symi, at about €6,000. Queen of Salmakis is €8,000 for the North Dodecanese on her June week and €4,000 for Symi on her July week. These are estimates based on 2026 figures and may change for 2027.
  • Crew gratuity is not in the totals. 10% of the charter fee is recommended, and each card shows the amount.
